NINE years ago I became a new, excited, tired, Mommy. Yea! Happy Birthday to Cade! We celebrated his birthday on Saturday
His carnival party was a lot of fun. The kids went to different "booths": tattoos, sand art necklaces, coloring wrist wraps, candy estimate jar, basketball game, football target and last, but not least...a dunk tank. It was hilarious. Aubrey used it as a personal spa and you can imagine how well that went over. The boys were not happy with her...she was just bopping up and down like there was no one else in the yard. (You've got to love it.)
Speaking of LOVE. Aubrey was on the phone with Melanie and she was going over a list of people she loves. She ended the conversation by saying. "And myself. OF COURSE I love myself." Hey, as a parent, isn't that what we want? A child who knows who they are and Whose they are? They are God's and they don't have to look any further to measure their self worth. I learn so much from the kids. I am challenging myself to make them my prime time entertainment instead of the t.v.
